As part of our restaurant review writing project, we watched several videos of the Phantom Gourmet. In addition, we discovered a video and a website of an interesting restaurant concept, Cereality. At Cereality, customers can choose from a wide variety of their favorite cereals to mix and match with toppings. The class thought this was a wonderful idea for a restaurant, but since it is only in the midwest at this time, we decided to create our own version of it here at school.
For our own cereal breakfast cafe, the class had 14 cereals to choose from along with toppings, yogurt, fruit, and milk. Many thanks to CS11’s mother for running our own cafe today.

CS1-I think a cereal cafe is a great and simple business that should start here. I had a great day with our own version of Cereality and I am positive that everyone else will love it just as much as I did.
CS2-Mrs. Dillon’s version of Cereality Day was the most exciting day of the year yet. I definitely think a cereal café should come here. It would be a really cheap and great restaurant to stop at if you are going somewhere. I really want it here.
CS3-Cereality is the best, most unusual restaurant ever! This type of restaurant should definitely come to Thoreau School. I hope this type of restaurant continues to spread to the eastern states, but first it has to add some more chocolate toppings.
CS4-A cereal cafe is a great idea. Just step right up and pick any cereal you want with different toppings. You can mix all of the cereals together to make a great combo. There is healthy Weetabix and junky cereals such as exciting Lucky Charms and crazy cereals such as Cocoa Puffs. I think that their should be a Cereality type restaurant in Massachusetts and all of the other states.
CS5-Cereality Day was great. It was like having breakfast all over again. But even better, I got to have cereals that I never would be able to have at home. There definitely should be a cereal cafe in Concord. You’d be able to choose so many cereals and combine mouthwatering toppings.
CS6-I think that Cereality Day at school is very fun. The buffet is an interesting touch. I think that a good combo is the delicious Reeces Puffs and the crunchy coco Puffs mixed together to make a phenomenal cereal. I definitely think that a cereal cafe should come to Concord because of its great ideas with toppings and the cereal mixed together in a buffet.
CS7-I thought Cereality Day was awesome. You can get so many different yummy cereals and toppings. There were rows of so many different kinds of yummy cereals and mouthwatering toppings. What I learned is that you’ve just got to be brave and try anything.
CS8-Ms. Dillon’s first Cereality Day was one of the most exciting days of the year, (so far!) There were rows of eye-popping cereal boxes ranging from boring old Wheatabix to the sugary sweet Lucky Charms. I loaded my paper plate with Captain Crunch and the marshmallow-stuffed Lucky Charms with extra helpings of every topping. I recommend trail mix to everyone because it’s the perfect snack for later. It just makes me wonder why we don’t have a cereal store in Concord so that everyone and can share that special treat- cereal.
CS10- I think Cereality Day was great; we had everything from Wheatabix to Reeses Puffs. Everything was good so mixing it was even better, plus for toppings there was everything from blueberries to marshmallows. I think there should be a cereal café everywhere, because everybody eats cereal and everyone would like it. Sometimes a simple idea can make people think you are a genius.
CS11- Cereality Day was the best! It was so fun to see all of the different types of cereals and the fun and crazy toppings and to see how they were mixed. I recommend the combination of lightly toasted crunchy Special K with juicy freshly cut sweet strawberries. A cereal restaurant would be great in Concord because it is very unique and cool and you can stop by quick for breakfast without having to wait for a table and a menu. Whoever thought of the idea for a cereal restaurant was a true genius.
CS12-Cereality Day was a lot of fun. We had a row of cereal with people to serve us. A good combination is Reeses’ Puffs with a pinch of Cocoa Puffs and crushed Oreo’s on top. Of course Reeses’ Puffs go well on their own. I think Concord should have a cereal cafe. It would be fun to go out for cereal!
CS13-I thought having a cereal day was an excellent way to start the morning. There were so many things to choose from including Wheatabix, Capn’ Crunch, Cocoa Pebbles, Frosted Flakes, Special K, FruityPpebbles, Reeses Puffs, Lucky Charms, Rice Krispy, Cocoa Puffs, and Fruity Cheerios. I think this type of restaurant should come here because other children would have the experience to try new cereals and sometimes even make better choices.
CS14-I think having Cereality Day was really fun. I think a good combo is Reese’s Puffs and Coco Puffs with milk on top. This type of restaurant should come here because all the good cereals were lined up in a line so we could mix up those crunchy, chocolaty, fruity cereals. I also think families should have a chance to go to a cereal restaurant and see how fun it is to mix sugary cereals.
CS15-I think that Cerealaty Day was really fun! I loved the way that you got to choose from many colorful cereals and toppings. I think that this would be fun for families. If I were the mayor or in the town government, I would make a cereal restaurant here. (And an ice cream store too!)
CS17-Having a cereal buffet was really fun because you got to try any kind of cereal and any topping. I think this tremendous buffet should become a permanent restaurant in Concord because there are so many choices and if you are in a bad mood, the choices there and service will change your mood around.
CS18-I think Cereality Day was awesome and it should definitely be done again. I think a cereal restaurant should come here because it is an awesome restaurant and it is a fun restaurant to go to because it has so many cereals, you can load up on the junk food and be proud of it.
CS19-I think Cereality Day is a really good idea. When I walked in there was a line of all of these great cereals. I liked the combo of Reece’s Puffs and Cocoa Puffs. I think this type of restaurant should come here.
